Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our medical device design, engineering, prototyping, and product development process across every stage of product development.

  •  Our team has experience across medical device design, healthcare technology, industrial equipment, automation systems, laboratory equipment, consumer products, and custom product development. We support startups, OEMs, researchers, and established companies with product design, engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing-ready development. Explore our case studies to see examples of our work.

  • Contact us with a brief description of your project and current stage. We'll set up an initial discussion to understand your needs and next steps.

  • Yes - happy to discuss confidentiality terms before sharing details of your project.

  • Timelines vary by project scope - a simple concept-to-prototype cycle can take a few weeks, while a full concept-to-manufacturing-ready design typically takes several months. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we understand your project.

  • Not necessarily - many clients start design work in parallel with the patent process, or before filing. We can discuss confidentiality and IP protection as part of our engagement (see our IP Protection approach on the homepage).

  • Yes - many of our clients are clinician-inventors starting from a clinical insight rather than a technical spec. We work with you from early concept and feasibility through detailed design.

  • We don't provide regulatory consulting directly, but we work closely with experienced regulatory consultants throughout the development process. Their recommendations are incorporated into the design and documentation, and they can continue supporting you with regulatory submissions, certifications, and approvals once development is complete.

  • Yes - we work with medical device companies and startups outside India, supporting them as an extended engineering team based in Ahmedabad.

  • Yes - we support contract manufacturing partner sourcing, vetting, and management for pilot and small-batch production.

  • Cost depends on complexity, materials, and how many design iterations are needed. Simple mechanical prototypes typically cost less than devices involving electronics or custom tooling. Get in touch with details on your project for a specific estimate.
