Research

At the start of any product design process, research is key to gaining a deep understanding of the product. We begin our research by looking at existing products to identify potential areas for improvement. We also review existing research and literature papers to familiarize ourselves with different technologies applicable to the product. If needed, we also begin reverse engineering a competitor's product provided by the client to better understand the scope of the project. We use this information to create a design brief that outlines the product's key features, objectives, and target users. We then use the brief to guide our design process, ensuring that our final product meets the needs of our customers.

Conceptualization

At iNSPIRE Design, we believe that the concept of a design is one of the most important steps in the entire product design process. Our team of experienced professionals uses a variety of software to create multiple industrial designs and sketches of products that the client can then choose from. This allows our clients to visualize the end result of their product and gives us the opportunity to create the most accurate design possible. We also offer feedback and suggestions to ensure our clients are satisfied with the design before the actual construction begins. Our goal is to create the best product design possible, and we believe that conceptualization is the key to achieving this.

CAD Modelling and Engineering

CAD (Computer-Aided Design) modeling and engineering is the next step of the product design process. iNSPIRE uses advanced CAD software to create accurate 3D models of the designs. This helps us to identify potential problems and refine the design to fit the specific needs of the project. We are great problem solvers and use our expertise to create efficient and effective solutions. Our CAD modeling and engineering services provide the perfect platform for bringing your product design ideas to life.

Prototyping and Troubleshooting

Once we prepare a satisfactory model of the product in CAD, we then 3D print the design to assess the physical properties of the prototype. This helps us to identify any potential issues, such as fit, function, or material properties. We analyze the printed prototype and make the necessary modifications to the CAD model. We then repeat the process until we are satisfied with the results. By going through this iterative process, we are able to create a product that meets all of our specifications. A unique ability that iNSPIRE has which most mechanical design firms in India don't is the capability to create prototypes of electronic components. We can create prototypes of equipment that use various kinds of sensors and are of varying sizes.

Drawings and Documentations

Product design is the process of imagining, creating, and iterating on products that solve customer problems. As part of the product design process, drawings and documentation are essential to ensure the design is properly communicated. Once the design is finalized and optimized via DFM (design for manufacturing) protocols, we start preparing engineering drawings that show the size, shape, and materials of the product. We also create technical documents to document the design decisions, product specifications, and assembly instructions. All of this documentation is necessary to ensure that the product is manufactured correctly. We also maintain a history of all the changes we make to any document to ensure 100% transparency with our clients.

Collaboration with Manufacturers

After the drawings are created, we collaborate with manufacturers to ensure the successful production of our designs. Our team has extensive experience working with manufacturers to get quotes, costing, and information on lead times. We stay closely informed of all the latest developments and production techniques to ensure our product designs are created to the highest standards. We use our relationships with manufacturers to source the best materials and production methods to bring our designs to life. We perform all the required communications with manufacturers to ensure the product design meets our clients' expectations.

Inspection and Testing

First article inspection and testing is a crucial step in new product development. The goal is to ensure that the product meets all the design specifications and requirements. This step is performed once the manufacturer starts providing samples of the finished product. Inspection of the product is performed with calibrated equipment and this step can also include performing various tests to verify the product's performance and in some cases to verify conformance with regulatory bodies. All the results are then compared to the design requirements and any non-conformances are identified. This helps to ensure that the product is of the highest standard and is ready for market.

Packaging Design

A well-crafted packaging design is more than just aesthetics; it's a strategic imperative for a product's success. It serves as the face of your brand, captivating consumer attention and leaving a lasting impression. A thoughtfully designed package conveys essential information, reflects brand identity, and influences purchasing decisions. It can differentiate your product on crowded shelves, enhance brand recognition, and create a memorable customer experience. Moreover, it plays a crucial role in protecting the product and ensuring it reaches customers in pristine condition. In the digital age, where online shopping prevails, an eye-catching design can boost online visibility and engagement. To thrive in the competitive marketplace, invest in exceptional packaging design—it's your product's silent salesperson.

Perpetual Support

iNSPIRE Design offers Perpetual Support for our product design services, ensuring our clients have access to our expertise and guidance even after their product has been launched to market.
